I look at my albums like chapters in my life. The majority of them are generally upbeat and I try to add my sense of humor to the overall experience. Sometimes it connects, other times it doesn’t. That doesn’t really matter to me as long as it’s genuine.
This album was born from a difficult chapter in my life; This album was born out of grief.
I’m grieving the loss of people I loved and that I was very close to and helped shape me as a person.
I’m grieving the loss of an animal that was my best friend and somebody I could always count on to make me smile and didn’t care about anything other than my company.
I’m grieving the possibility that the career path I’ve chosen might not work out the way I expected it to, or even at all.
At the end of the day this chapter in my life is just that. A chapter. A moment in time that will get better, get different, and will heal.
This album is a process in that healing.
I hope this album helps you in someway too, but honestly this one is for me.
